What Is The Difference Between Optical Fiber And Network Cable.
Jun 14, 2018

First, there is a difference in material. The cable is made of metal material (mostly copper and aluminum); the fiber optic cable is made of vitreous fiber.

Second, there is a difference in transmission signals. Cables transmit electrical signals. Optical cable transmission is no signal.

Third, there is a difference in the scope of application. Cables are now used for energy transmission and low-end data transmission (such as elephone). Optical fiber cable is mostly used for data transmission.

The optical fiber is a fine, flexible medium that transmits light beams. Optical fiber cables consist of a bundle of fibers, referred to simply as fiber optic cables. The optical fiber is the core part of the optical cable, and the optical fiber forms the optical cable through the protection of some components and an extremely protective layer.

The optical fiber is usually made of quartz glass. Its double-concentric cylindrical body with a small cross-sectional area, also known as a core, is fragile and brittle.

What is the network cable?

Cables are collectively referred to as optical cables, cables, and other items. There are many uses for cables, which are mainly used to control multiple functions such as installation, the connection of equipment, and transmission of electricity. They are common and indispensable things in daily life. Due to the charging of cables, installation requires special care.
